From modest expectations to unexpected growth: reflections on community, creative growth, and finding strength and healing through the lens on Substack.
Thank you, Rachel. That is so kind of you to say and I am guessing you wouldn’t be surprised that I would say no. Imposter Syndrome runs rife in my head all the time 😊
Hey Giles, it’s been a pleasure to be part of your journey this past year. The regularity, quality, and quantity of your work have been impressive and genuinely inspirational. Happy Annieversary!
With the life struggles aside, a great year you’ve had — photographically speaking. Glad you’ve shared it with us here!
I always look forward to your output. In terms of this week’s images, they are all special. Most notable, for me, were the red stripes in the sliver of light, the curved wooden bench slats, the face of the sheep (cause all sheep are good sheep) and that clothes drying tableau. That’s some good stuff!!!!
Many thanks for your encouragement and support through 2025, it has meant the world. Here’s to us all keeping the energy levels high and photography as good as ever through 2026 👊🏻
I am so looking forward to seeing your many captured moments of joy and thanks for sharing all that you do. In a small way, I feel part of a community too. Happy 2026!
Finding you has definitely been a highlight this past year for me and I’m looking forward to seeing what you have in store for 2026. Now you just have to get your butt out to California!
Glad you are here...
