Mobile Macro - Photoweek: #20 2025
Weekly series highlighting what peaked my interest photographically in the last seven days.
A quieter week than of late, which is to be expected as we all need a break sometime.
This week was largely defined by my sudden interest in macro photography using my iPhone. I put this down to all the wild flowers coming out in bloom and catching my eye. I also really enjoyed the challenge of editing these on my phone as well, using Lightroom Mobile to bring the creative vision I had to life for these shots. My preference being to isolate the subjects and pull out the textures and colours, where applicable.
Aside from this we have my usual mix of light around the home and shots I captured while running and walking around town and the surrounding countryside here in Ely.
Note: If you are reading this in your email, you may not receive all the images. If this is the case, click the view in browser link at the top of the email or go to the article on Substack, where I post this and more content throughout the week.

Another fabulous set of images Giles, the iPhone really is an essential tool for photographers these days and the flower pictures look great. Is it just me, or are you building a collection of litter bin images? 😉
Hi Giles, love your macro flowers, are these made using your new Moment lens? Gorgeous
